Sverker Åström och sanningen

När jag läser Sverker Åströms debattinlägg i Dagens Nyheter idag, som du hittar här, så kan jag inte finna annat än att denne man antingen helt har tappat förankring i verkligheten eller också medvetet vill föra sina läsare bakom ljuset. Han skriver nämligen – bland mycket annat märkligt – att Hamas stadga ”inte propagerar för Israels utplåning”. Detta dokument ”handlar mest om metoderna att sörja för folkets välfärd, bekämpa arbetslöshet, främja jämställdhet mellan könen och andra inte särskilt revolutionära krav. I en närmast historiefilosofisk utläggning sägs att Israel någon gång i framtiden kommer att försvinna”.

Tro honom inte! Hamas stadgar finner du här. I artikel 32 sägs bl.a. följande: ”The Islamic Resistance Movement calls on Arab and Islamic nations to take up the line of serious and persevering action to prevent the success of this horrendous plan [nämligen sionismens påstådda plan att besegra arabstaterna], to warn the people of the danger eminating from leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism. Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the ”Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.”

Vidare heter det i artikel 6 att ”The Islamic Resistance Movement”, dvs. Hamas, ”is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine”.

I artikel 13 finner man följande: ”Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement. Abusing any part of Palestine is abuse directed against part of religion. Nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its religion. Its members have been fed on that. For the sake of hoisting the banner of Allah over their homeland they fight”. Slutligen heter det i samma artikel att ”There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad”.

Historiefilosofi? Nej, knappast. Det är frågan om aktivt kämpande fascism, nazism och islamism. Det är en stor skam som faller över Sverker Åström när han skriver som han gör, men kanske var det att vänta av en f.d. medlem i Sveriges Nationella Förbund.
