Reuters reports that U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has reiterated the conditions for the U.S. to accept a government in ”Palestine” in which Hamas is included:
We will not deal with nor in any way fund a Palestinian government that includes Hamas unless and until Hamas has renounced violence, recognized Israel and agrees to follow the previous bond of the Palestinian Authority
The United States require, that Hamas must recognize Israel. But Hamas time and again, year after year, has on its part, most recently here, emphatically reiterated the contents of its Charter, ie. the core position of Hamas, the very purpose of this organization, which is to never recognize Israel but to the contrary, to wage a war of aggression in order to destroy Israel.
So then it starts to become very tiresome to hear one person after another (eg. Swedish social democrats) either argue that ”Hamas is part of the solution” and that Hamas must be allowed to ”appear at the negotiating table”, or to listen to Hilary Clinton repeating demands that most people and especially the U.S. foreign administration, by now should understand that Hamas will never meet.
The way forward should not be to engage in fruitless attempts to include Hamas in a peace settlement with Israel – something that is contrary to the very purpose of Hamas – but to replace that failed strategy with a firm and resolute determination to exclude Hamas from all dealings with civilized nations and organizations. Hamas must be isolated. This organization must be exposed as the anti-Semitic and islamo-nazist terrorist organization it is and always will be.
Peace should instead be discussed with those who really want peace – with Israel, not without Israel. But who would they be?
The Palestinian Authority does not recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Fatah does not recognize Israel at all, nor does the PFLP or the PLO (if you read its still unchanged Charter). Hisbollah does not, not Iran …
